*Abdel Sabour Dahab: I’m a Nubian from the village Nagh el Kuba on the West bank. I have been wor-king with tourists throughout Egypt my whole live. I love to introduce tourists in the Nubian culture and traditions, the relaxed African atmosphere and the hospitality of the Nubian people.

*Ellen Grooteman: I’m Dutch, organization advisor at the Ministry of Justice in The Hague. I met my husband on New Year’s Eve 1996 in his birthplace. After almost ten years of visiting Aswan, I’m still fascinated especially by the Nubian area. Living there for a while is a perfect way of relaxing from the stress of every day life in Europe, and putting things in perspective.
