Unique archaeological treasures found in North West Aswan
Near our guesthouse archaeologists discovered
a 5200-year-old rock drawing of a royal festival: a hub of archaeological treasures!
A team from Yale University,
the University of Bologna and the Provinciale Hogeschool Limburg, Belgium, has completed the first epigraphic and
digital record of a site near Nag El-Hamdulab on the west bank of the Nile, north of Aswan.
The find shows many hieroglyphic graffiti and the first drawings shows a complete royal celebration.

The Luxor Times Magazine and
Ahram online.

Special tour North Sudan
We are proud to present our new special tour to the Nubian heritage of North Sudan. A trip from Khartoum through the desert, alongside the Nile to Lake Nasser, where we take the boat to Aswan.
The tour starts 7 January 2012 and ends 16 days later in Cairo. In between we have visited all the impressive Nubian pyramids and temples from the kingdom of the black pharaohs and met traditional Nubian life style in the villages we pass.

Archaeology Aswan West bank
An archaeologist who is researching the
desert right behind our guesthouse since years, made a very interesting website about his findings.
On his website you find a lot of information about the backgrounds of the “Tombs of the Nobles”
at Qubbet el-Hawa and the Coptic St. Simeon’s monastery,
both on the UNESCO World Heritage List. But Gharb Aswan has much more unknown archaeology!
Discover it on:
